One of the very best things about being a family photographer in Utah is getting to know secrets before anyone else – like taking a photo pregnancy announcement! Usually when a family is taking Utah Pregnancy Announcement Photos, they won’t announce anything until they get their gallery delivered. So for a whole 2 weeks, I am the only person who knows, and I get so excited!

The Jones family was so much fun to spend time with. Not only are they gorgeous people, their kids are so sweet! I loved that I could get soft faces and big smiles from them all in the same session. Like, how much more photogenic can they get??

I met with the Jones family when I was spending time at my in-law’s home. I usually only shoot in Utah County, and sometimes Salt Lake County, but when I’m traveling further north, I love to squish in a couple sessions. Along with the poppy field, this was one of the best location finds of summer 2020 – even with a super bumpy dirt road leading up to the field!

But when I met with the Jones’, they already had a list of couples poses they wanted to try, and I seriously had the best time spending some extra time shooting their love.
